OVERVIEW:
This section provides you with all the information necessary for you to acquire a Visa to Brazil.
REQUIREMENTS:
- All visa applicants are required to fill out the on-line Visa Application form available here, b) print out, c) sign it, d) Attach one passport-size photograph and e) submit your request with the following documentation:
- Original Valid Passport and one photocopy, passports must be valid for at least six months from the date of intended arrival in Brazil, and have enough blank pages for visas and entrance stamps.
- One Passport Photographs taken within the last 6(six) months against a white backgorund (3 X 4 cm),
- AN INVITATION letter, for those participating in conferences, seminars, arts or sports events is requested from the organizing institution in Brazil, containing specific information on the activity to be performed, location and duration of the event and stating that the participant will not receive payment.
- Written Declaration of the purpose of the trip including the destination address in Brazil,
- Original and 1 (one) copy of a return or onward ticket, travel booking, booking statement from the travel or e-ticket confirmation containing the name of the passenger, confirmed itinerary, flight numbers and arrival/departure dates.
- Proof of financial self-support during the stay of the applicant in Brazil (original bank statements of account in Uganda, payment slips and credit card statements are accepted as proof).
- Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate,
- Letter of recommendation from Employer or Legal Guardian.
- Original Certificate of Good Conduct issued by the competent Authority for special cases.
- Non-Ugandan nationals MUST bring a letter of introduction from their respective Diplomatic Missions.
- Letter of introduction from the Honorary Consulate of Brazil in Uganda.
- Consular Fees (depends on required visa see below)

When presenting letters of recommendation from employers, please note that the proof of registration
of companies or organisations with complete PIN number is a MUST.

CONSULAR FEES & PROCESSING TIME: :
The Brazilian Consulate in Uganda recieves all visa applications, verifies information there-in endorses and submits them to the embassy in Nairobi. The passports are returned by express courier within 10 - 14 days, this attracts a handling fee of USD100.
In times of heavy workload waiting times will increase. Therefore, do not leave your application to the last minute and do not commit yourself to travel plans until you know when your visa will be issued. Processing time 10-14 working days.
The Consular Section in Nairobi does not provide express or emergency visa services. General conditions are subject to change without prior notice.

Please Note: Effective 1st February 2008, visa fees and other payments related to Consular services, will be paid directly to the consulate's office AFTER SUBMISSION AND CONSEQUENT APPROVAL OF APPLICATIONS.
METHODS OF PAYMENT:
Visa fees will be paid in Kenya Shillings (KSHS).
1 Real-Ouro (Brazilian Currency) = 90.00 KSHS.
Foreign Currencies, Banker's Cheques, Banker's Draft or Credit Cards are NOT accepted.
