The Ugandan Flag has three colours: Black for the people, Yellow for the sun and Red for African Brotherhood. The crested crane symbolises peace.

The Coat of Arms of Uganda bears two animals - an antelope and a crested crane. Below them are two crops - coffee and cotton - which were Uganda's chief exports. The drum symbolises culture, the sun - ever warm Uganda, while the ripples at the top show the waters of Uganda. The spears and shield symbolise protection. At the bottom is the National Motto - FOR GOD AND MY COUNTRY. |

The Crested Crane is Uganda's national bird. It bears the three colours of the Ugandan Flag - Black, Yellow and Red. |

The Uganda anthem was composed by well-known George Kakoma. It was first sung on Independence Day on October, 9th 1962 |

TOURIST CENTERS
Uganda is well endowed with
very many tourist attractions. There are several game parks, e.g.
Mgahinga National Park - Famous for the Gorillas
Kidepo National Park - Famous for Lions
Murchison Falls National Park - Famous for the Murchison falls
Lake Mburo National Park - Famous for flamingos
Aside from the national parks, there are several other tourist attractions like the Mountains of the Moon - the Rwenzori ranges, Mount Elgon (Sipi falls); and the rich culture of the Ugandans.
