As an extension of other Consular activities, the Brazilian Consulate has set up trade promotion offices managed and staffed by Consular personnel.The primary function of the Commercial Service is the promotion of Brazilian exports to Uganda and foreign direct investment in Brazil.

The Economy
The economy of Brazil is the world's eighth largest by nominal GDP and seventh largest by purchasing power parity.
Brazil is member of the BRIC countries - Brazil, Russia, India and China, the fastest economic horses in the world's stable of large Financial pundits. The BRIC countries are expected to replace the United States of America as the economic powers. The four countries, combined, currently account for more than a quarter of the world's land area and more than 40% of the world's population.

Exports:
Brazilian exports are booming, creating a new generation of tycoons, With a population of almost 200 million, Brazil is the world's leading exporter of sugar, coffee, beef and orange juice. Soybeans are Brazil's fastest-growing shipments, powered by the appetites of China's 1.3 billion consumers.
