OVERVIEW:
This section provides information about the Honorary Consulate of the Federative Republic of Brazil in Uganda and the services we offer.
HISTORY:
The Honorary Consulate of Brazil in Uganda is subordinated to the Brazilian Embassy in Nairobi - Kenya. It was created with jurisdiction over the whole territory of Uganda, in June 2004. The Honorary Consulate was formally accepted in November, 2004 when the Honorary Consul presented his credentials to the Government of Uganda.
THE HONORARY CONSUL:
Mr. Paul Mugambwa - Sempa is the Honorary Consul of Brazil in Uganda. He is a man with vast experience in the coffee industry, having worked with the then Coffee Marketing Board (CMB) for nearly 20 years.
After leaving the service of CMB in 1986, he set up Kyagalanyi Coffee Company Limited which started exporting coffee alongside CMB and the unions.
In 1994, he founded what is today known as the Uganda Coffee Trade Federation and remained its President till 1997.
In 1996, he was elected President of Aproma, an association between producers in the ACP world and consumers in the European Union and operated under the auspices of the EU in Brussels.
In 2001, he was appointed the Chairman of the Uganda Coffee Development Authority (UCDA).
Today, he is running Victoria Coffees Limited, a coffee exporting firm.

CONSULAR SERVICES:
The Honorary Consulate offers the following services:
Promotes Development of commercial, economic, cultural and scientific relations between Brazil and Uganda
Renders assistance to Brazilian nationals resident in Uganda, helping them in their activities depending on their rights; and those passing through Uganda; In special cases, provide hospitalisation to Brazilian nationals on repatriation,
Registers Brazilian nationals in Uganda ;
On special request, issues certificates of being alive to Brazilian citizens;
Notorizes signatures in documents issued or authenticated by local authorities;
Offers Consular services to Ugandans and other nationals wishing to travel to Brazil
